We follow a force-free, positive reinforcement dog training model. We avoid the use of physical punishment, intimidation, or fear to motivate behavior change. Fear-based training may achieve results in the short-term but, in the long run, it may reinforce undesirable behaviors, make an already fearful dog more fearful, and cause the dog to distrust his owner.
Instead, we use proven, science-based techniques involving motivators like extra yummy treats or praise. We teach owners to interpret their dog’s body language and help them understand the underlying causes of their dog’s negative behaviors. We feel this approach has the best chance for long-term success.
